First time visit...service and food was excellent!!

The food is great! The service is awesome.

I've been going here since I was a kid, I drive from Winston just to get takeout from here, no other seafood around comes close to being as good as yadkin valley seafood.

Good food at reasonable prices, friendly staff. Always a nice visit.

Food was good and service also

It was great. The hush puppies were hot and crispy and the shrimp and perch was out of this world. Topped off with a sweet baked potato. The waitress was right on time except I had to ask another to send her so we could get a to go box. We were busting. Thank you for the good food we have always gotten there Gus. Terry & Jason Ashley

Good local seafood place. Quality can be hit or miss but generally pretty good. Prices are reasonable.

The service was great, the food was fresh and delicious, the servings were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. We enjoyed our visit very much.

Food was lukewarm when we received it. Wanted 20 minutes. Back potato tasted like it was yesterday potato warmed up. Both my daughter and I did not feel very good rest of the day. I had salt pepper catfish and my daughter had a steak. I ate her salad she ate my slaw. Blue cheese dressing was a strange color and did not hat blue cheese taste. Looked more like french with white specks in itThis was our second time eating there. First time food was good. Service was good. This last visit food was as explained above and service was lacking. My daughter order steak and shrimp and ended up with just steak. After waiting 20mins for order we did not want to send it back. Our visit was last Sunday about noon

The food is great and they give generous portions.

The food is really good. The only problem I have is they always get the entrees a little mixed up when I get take out. But it's still good.

Great service here, and a good place to eat if you love sea food. Tonight i had their French fries, and chicken strips with a salad. They have good ranch here. Their BBQ sauce was good as well. Very good good, drinks, and service. Their tea is great.

Food was terrible. Fish was undercooked. Salad was brown. Wife and I both got sick.

My husband had chicken fingers...they were over cooked & dry. I ordered a hamburger steak...not well done. When it arrived, it was very well done. Waitress was gracious & returned it to the kitchen. Second one was better but still just average. This is the second time our food has been less than desirable. Guess seafood is their best option?

They do not handle a party or small group well at all. It took over 15 minutes just to get silverware and even longer to get a drink. A salad came with my meal and was ruined by the time I got something to even eat it with. 20 minutes and still nothing to drink. Hard pass

Stopped by on our way to Boone for a first visit. It won't be our last. Perfectly cooked fish, shrimp and clam strips. The latter is so often overlooked at similar seafood restaurants but not here.

Really great salads and good pricing

So happy that I was able to make it here once again. Been going since they opened, then I moved away & it had been over 20 years! Still just as delicious as I remembered!!! Thank You Gus!!! I hope to make it back again someday!

Good food, price, large portions.

They will charge you for the air you breathe there if you’re not careful. Pay very close attention to what you ask for and how it’s ordered. I ended up being charged nearly twice the price for a Flounder and Shrimp Combination that we requested salt and peppered. Was told originally it was only a small surcharge which we were ok with, but when it was time to pay they charged us twice the original price and would not adjust it. I paid the extra and vowed to never spend another dollar at their restaurant. In my opinion the food and service is at best average anyway!!!

Service is generally decent and the food is adequate but it isn't great. The wait time for seating is quite long at dinner time. The owners and their daughter are very rude to the customers and staff. You can often hear the owner berating the wait staff. Dining area and bathrooms are usually pretty clean. 3 stars!

Awesome food! Great prices! We got the Alaskan white fish plate and it was great!

Our waitress was very friendly. The hushpuppies and the popcorn shrimp was very good. The baby flounder was just bland, not bad just no taste to it at all.

Good shrimp, great, lightly breaded baby flounder. Perfect hush puppies. Britt was a very good server and price and portions were more than fair.

I absolutely love coming here because no matter what you order it always comes out delicious perfect each time. The hush puppies that are brought to the table at first are the bomb. Awesome. You could make a meal out of them. I love the popcorn shrimp and Alaskan white fish the best . Gus has got the secret combination to great food.

Oh my it was delicious!! We had enough food to bring home 2 take out boxes and we all 3 were stuffed when we left. I loved the tartar sauce and my flounder, shrimp and oysters were perfect. We had an excellent server, I wish I could remember her name.

The food is good ans service is fast most days.

We reserved a room for a large group. They only had one waitress for our group. She was also waiting tables in other portions of the restaurant. It took over an hour to place our order. Even tho she put our names on the ticket it was mass confusion because she could not read her writing. Then she literally tossed my plate on the table in front of me. (The plate left her hand before it touched the table). At least it did not slide far. Most likely will not use this establishment for a gathering in the future.

Used to be a great seafood place. However, I have found that my last orders have been very and the potato was over baked.

Portions are HUGE!!! And consider salad vs Cole slaw. How they get awesome tomatoes in December is a mystery, let's call it a Christmas miracle

My wife and I love Yadkin Valley Seafood! We enjoy the great service and even better food. If you like seafood, this establishment is worth a visit.. again and again and again!

The best seafood I've ever ate.

Got there at 9:20 and they close at 9:30 but without an issue we sat down ordered and took our time enjoyed our meal without an hassle or fuss. Our waitress was amazing and the food was as well. I got the white fish, fried oysters and jumbo shrimp and it was delicious.The only dislike was the sweet tea and I personally think that the menu could be a little bit easier to understand. We really enjoyed it with plenty of leftovers as well.

My absolute favorite family seafood restaurant! Gus really has been feeding me my entire life even back when they were in the old building...always great food!!

Food wad under cooked and sure order saled but with in 3 minutes of just getting the saled they brought our under cooked food to us n i didnt could not eat most of the food but but they sure didnt make my moms food right at all .they still made us pay for it we wont be back to this place unless they change there ways of cooking food .i hope they know if they make someone sick for there under cooking food its a law suit but i forgive them but wont be back

Last trip there my wife and I both had indigestion, was telling my oldest son and he responded that they had dinner that same evening and both of them were sick all night

My wife and I ate here 10/5/2019 Saturday. We had the flounder and popcorn shrimp. We decided to stop as we were up there visiting family. We live about 75 miles from Yadkin Valley Seafood in Kernersville NC.We have eaten here years ago at the older buliding right down the way.The food was hot and gracious ample portions.What really stood out to us was the service our waitress "Tracey" was friendly, courteous, and very attentive. I would rate the food a 4. I would rate the service a 5. I would rate the value a 4.We own a home at Emerald Isle and have frequented many seafood restaurants in and around the island.One would pay double the price for way less portions and lesser quality food at the coast.We look forward to returning to Yadkin Valley Seafood in the near future. Gus if you read this let Tracy know the big bearded guy and his wife would ask for her to be our server when we return! Oh and give her a good pat on the back for a job well done!
